Scrapbooking Funny: How We Deal with Civilians

scrapbook meme

I know we’re supposed to be listening at the work meeting or paying attention when our husbands go on about their day. But we just can’t help it. Our minds are usually elsewhere.

All we’re thinking about is putting on our scrapping sweatpants, grabbing a Diet Coke, and sitting down at our desk. The layout awaits! We want to peel off a strip of our favorite washi tape, inhale the “new paper” smell of our latest purchase, and relive the memories that our perfect photo brings about.

Oh, um, sorry. What were you saying?

Scrapbooker Funny: Why Facebook Taggers Should Worry & You Shouldn’t

Check out this hilarious commercial from Canon!

Sure, Facebook and Tag away! But don’t forget to also print, scrapbook, journal, and frame. Your kids’ happiness depends on it :D

PS: On a serious note, I do take this to heart. I kinda’ feel sorry for the kids who’ve been born since social media photo posting came to the forefront. Many of them don’t have photos of themselves on the wall, in scrapbooks, passed around and fawned over by relatives at family gatherings, on their dad’s desk at work, etc. When their parents solely share their photos and accomplishments on social media, the kids kinda’ get shortchanged (in my humble opinion).

Just another reason SCRAPBOOKERS RAWK!!!

Scrapbook Funny: A Field Guide to Scrapbookers

Thank you so much to LISA MOOREFIELD for this super cute and relatable comic!

I am, in this order:

Hoarder ~ Not only do I buy tons of scrapbooking products, but I tend to hoard my favorites – like I’m afraid I’ll run out or something (eye roll).

Cheerleader ~ As evidenced by almost 7 years of blogging about scrapbooking . . .

Dreamer ~ I have WAAAYYY more ideas and dreams of projects than I have time to execute them. But I guess that’s part of the fun of this hobby :)

Nerd ~ Organization Freak, that’s me.
