Online Stamping Classes: True Stamp 2015 Available a la Carte

The classes that made up “True Stamp 2015” are now available for individual purchase. Sorry, this has been going on since 06-15-15 but I forgot to post about it. I know scrappers and stampers look forward to these classes going on sale individually – and now there’s only 1 day left to purchase, ack!

From Lain Ehman @ Layout A Day.com, the organizer of True Stamp 2015:

• The classes include both the project-only video (around 30 minutes)
and the full, “Like You Were There” video (around 60 minutes).

• We’re running a kick-off sale from 6/15 through Monday, June 22,
making
these inspiring video classes only $9.95 through midnight on
6/22
. AND if people are really in love with the event, they can get
all six for only $39 (that’s $6.50 each) with the code “SUMMER” at
checkout through 6/22.

• After 6/22, the price will increase to the regular $14.95 per
class. [bolding mine]

Here are the 6 classes you can choose from – or take all 6 for the even-more-discounted price:

I’m not much of a stamper but that 2nd class about using stamps and die cuts together looks pretty cool!

You can see more information on these classes and order them if you like RIGHT HERE.

Scrapbook Obsession Blog: Why Things Are Changing in 2015

So.

I don’t usually get too personal on this blog. It’s not a site about MY scrapbooking. It’s a site about SCRAPBOOKING. That’s how it’s been from the beginning and the way I want it to always stay. I want to be different from all the other scrapbook blogs out there. I want to be a place where we talk – not about my life, my scrapbooking, my photos, my family – but about this obsession called Scrapbooking.

The other component I believe in is being honest and transparent. I tell you my real opinion on scrapbooking topics, products, companies, “celebrities”, etc. And if I don’t have something nice to say, I try to keep my mouth shut, LOL. Unless I can be constructive :)

Even though the title of this post says “things are changing,” I want you to know that the plan is for this site to stay about scrapbooking and stay about honesty. That’s not going to change. What I hope IS going to change is that Scrapbook Obsession is going to become bigger and better and more fun throughout the rest of 2015 … and beyond.

I’ve been wanting to build this site up for SO many years. I’ve had plans in the past for various things that either didn’t work out or I had to abandon due to constraints on my time. I’ve also let fear hold me back: Fear that I’ll disappoint you, fear that because I’m not a fancy scrapper that I have nothing to offer, fear that I’ll drive away people who’ve been so supportive of this blog. But I’ve felt from the beginning that 2015 was going to be an awesome year and it sure is turning out to be.

Over the years, I’ve watched amazing women in this industry build their online, at-home scrapbooking businesses – Becky Higgins, Ali Edwards, Lain Ehmann to name a few – and been SO inspired. But I’ve always thought they had something special I didn’t, that they were doing something I could never do, that they knew some secret I didn’t for making their dreams come true.

While I still don’t think I’ll ever be running a million dollar company like BeckyHiggins.com, I’ve come to realize that I CAN do big things. I can take this love of scrapbooking further – via this site i’ve been building for 8 years – and I can turn this passion into a business I love without “selling out” or letting you down or becoming some fake thing you don’t recognize.

The main thing that’s changed my attitude is that I’ve been attending an online business school. It’s geared toward female entrepreneurs who want to dream big and run online businesses. The education I’m getting has opened my eyes wide and also opened many doors. It’s all very exciting! The other women who attend are extremely encouraging, helpful, and we all cheer each other on. I’m using the teachings to improve and expand my virtual assistant business but I’m also going to apply these wonderful things to Scrapbook Obsession.

Business school has expanded my beliefs about all the things I have to offer, what makes my site unique, what a difference I can make, and has me so stinkin’ jacked up, I can hardly stand it! Finding time is still a challenge but I’m making it happen. Changes will roll out slowly as I can implement them but I have self-imposed deadlines I plan to meet. Wish me luck.

Hint: One of those deadlines is National Scrapbook Day 05-02-15 … yikes, not very far away!

I’m a reader, writer, scrapbooker, creative type. I gotta’ tell ya’, the technical side of all this online biz stuff is challenging! But I’m stubborn and will figure out whatever I need to. In the meantime, it might not be pretty but don’t worry. It’ll all be good in the end :P

And back to the fear thing: One thing I’ve learned in business school is that I can’t make everyone happy. “If you try to make everyone happy, you end up pleasing no one.” We all like different things and different aspects of scrapbooking. We all want different things from the sites we choose to spend time on. But I’ve come to realize that I can’t make “people” happy, I can only make “my people” happy. My people, my tribe, the scrappers who think like I think and like what I like. I do feel badly that I can’t cater to EVERY kind of scrapper but I also feel very blessed to have offerings for MY kind of scrapper. That’s all one person can do, right?

This new venture is going to require me to do something I’m not comfortable with: Asking for help. I’ll need to reach out to members of the scrapbooking industry and ask for things that they may or may not be willing to give. That’s scary! But, like mama always said, “If you don’t ask, you’ll never know!” Time to put on my Big Girl Scrapper Panties and get ready for rejection! And – maybe just maybe – some pleasant surprises, too. I’ll also need to ask some of you to help me behind the scenes so I can make this site super useful for you.

What I ask of each reader is to be open-minded, be excited, and join me on the journey!! It’s gonna’ be fun, I promise ;)

Yikes! Hitting “Publish” … no turning back now!!! YEEHAWWWW

Online Scrapbook Classes: “Truth Scrap” Now Available ‘a la Carte’ & On Sale

As I talked about back in December 2014, Lain Ehman held a first-time online event called “TRUTH SCRAP” on 01-31-15.

It sounded like a very interesting and different event that I’m sorry I couldn’t attend live. Oh well, the next best thing is to get the classes after the fact. I like when they go on sale “a la carte” and know that you do too. We can handpick the classes we want or, in the case of the sale I’m going to tell you about, get all 7 classes for a great price.

Here are the classes you can choose from – or get them all & reduce the cost per class:

“Hope Notes: Creating and Sharing Messages of Faith” with Stephanie
Ackerman

“Faithbooking: How (and Why) to Share Your Faith in Your Scrapbook”
with Erin Bassett

“Words to Live By: A Handmade Art Journal” with Andrea Chebeleu

“#ARTWORSHIP: Art Journaling Response to Jesus” with Heather
Greenwood

“The Art of Being HUMAN: A Creative Exploration of Our Basic Being
and Purpose” with Liz Hicks

“Illuminated Manuscripts: Illustrating Your Journaling Bible” with
Shanna Noel

“Cross-ology: Art and Heart for the Home” with Donna Salazar

You can see full class descriptions on the “TRUTH SCRAP” site.

So here’s the sale info:

From Monday 04-13 through midnight on Friday 04-24-15, you can get each class individually for $9.95 or all 7 classes for $49 (aka $7/each). To get the $49 price, add all 7 classes to your cart, then use the code TRUTH at checkout through 4/24. The sale price of $9.95 per class is also good through 4/24.

The classes include both the project-only video (around 30 minutes) and the full, “Like You Were There” video (around 60 minutes).

***After 4/24, the price will increase to the regular $14.95 per class.

The 3 classes I’m considering are:

– Erin Bassett – Faithbooking: How (and Why) to Share Your Faith in Your Scrapbook

I keep saying I’m going to incorporate my faith into my scrapbooks but it rarely happens. Maybe this is the inspiration I need.

– Shanna Noel – Illuminated Manuscripts: Illustrating Your Journaling Bible

I heard about journaling your Bible in 2014, I think, and have been intrigued ever since.

– Donna Salazar – Cross-Ology: Art and Heart for the Home

I’ve always loved crosses and wear a small one around my neck 24/7 (it says “Blessed”). In fact, my dad had a crucifix collection which passed down to my brother and I when he died but they’re packed away for safekeeping. I’d love to incorporate some crosses into our home deco and it sounds like this class will share economical and fun ways to do that.

Which Truth Scrap classes most appeal to you?

Just to recap re: “TRUTH SCRAP”
-Individual classes are on sale 4/13 through 4/24 for $9.95.
-Special offer: Get all 7 class offerings for only $49 with code “TRUTH” from 4/13 through 4/24.

If you end up purchasing any classes, I’d love to hear what you chose and also to hear any reviews after you watch them!

Online Scrapbook Classes: Creative Live Has Scrapbooking Classes ON SALE

One of my favorite sources of online learning – CREATIVE LIVE – has scrapbooking-related classes from their Craft & Maker series on sale RIGHT HERE to celebrate National Craft Month.

creative live scrapbooking on sale

Up to 40% off from March 16 – 22, 2015!

Several of them are digital scrapbooking-related which isn’t my groove but maybe it’s yours, or you want to learn more about it. I will say that one of the digi instructors, Traci Reed, is a great teacher. I’ve taken classes from her during TRUE SCRAP events, like her class for TRUE SCRAP: POCKET PAGES

If you’re more of a traditional (aka paper) scrapbooker like me, you might want to check out these sale classes:

Becky Higgins – Scrapbooking with Project Life
Lain Ehmann – Scrapbook Your Story
Nicole Samuels – Scrapbooking Your Baby’s First Year
Megan Hoeppner – From App to Archive: Social Media Scrapbooking

I’ve taken all of these online classes when they were in free preview mode and LOVED each one! Creative Live does a high-class job and the instructors are at the top of their game, sharing loads of information, giving real life examples from themselves and live audience members, and the classes are nice and long – totally worth the cost, especially with the discount pricing right now.

I think my favorite of the 4 classes above was Becky’s. Yes, I’m biased right now toward Project Life style/pocket page scrapbooking but that wasn’t it; it was how open Becky was about her history in the scrapbooking industry, the behind-the-scenes stories about the business end of PL, how lines are created, how she uses PL in her real life, and how emotional and honest she got – even to the point of tears at times. I can’t say I learned a TON of new things about Project Life but I learned more about Becky and scrapbooking in general that made me love both of them even more (is that frickin’ possible??!?! LOL).

Because these classes are nice and long, any of them would be great to be like your Scrapbooking TV, playing during your scrap sessions :) They don’t run sales that often so I’m happy to see this. Hope you find something you like!

PS: While you’re at CREATIVE LIVE, check out THIS cool blog post about 5 inspiring scrapbookers and enter THIS contest on Instagram for the chance at an amazing prize!

Online Scrapbook Classes: Just 6 Hours Left to Save on “True Scrap 6” Individual Classes

I’ve already posted about these classes HERE and HERE. But just in case you got busy with Thanksgiving and forgot to shop – I wanted to remind you that there are about 6 hours left. You can view and buy the classes HERE.

I loved this e-mail Lain sent out today and thought I’d share it:

53,119 pins.
126,174 Pinterest followers.

Impressed yet?

Obviously, there’s no one better than Kelli Crowe to teach a class
on turning Pinterest inspiration into actual scrapbook pages and
craft projects! That’s why when Kelli taught this class on “Saw
This, Made That: Bringing Inspiration to Life” for True Scrap 6,
the room was packed and the ideas were flying!

Let’s face it. We all pin and pin and pin (or bookmark blog posts,
“favorite” layouts in galleries, or otherwise collect visual
inspiration). But often, our OUTPUT doesn’t come close to equaling
our INPUT. And that’s why you’re gonna love Kelli’s class. And
you’re going to love it even more because it’s on sale through
tomorrow, 11/30!

You can get the 32-minute project-only video, a full replay of the
class including chat and Q&A with Kelli, AND a PDF of the class
chat for only $9.99, through this weekend only.

Kelli’s class is just one of **NINE** hour-long video classes from
True Scrap 6, all of which are on sale through Sunday, Nov. 30.
Shop early before the price increases!

Big <3 Lain P.S. Kelli is an incredible scrapbooker and one of the most creative people I know. Check out her class, and if you don't love it, we'll refund your purchase price! With that kind of guarantee, you can't lose. Get "Saw This, Made That" right now:

I love how Lain gives a money-back guarantee. I think she’s pretty confident you’ll love whatever classes you get. And, ya’ know, if you don’t – no harm, no foul. Just get your money back and spend it something else scrappy! Whoo hoo!

Here are the True Scrap 6 classes you have to choose from for $9.99 each for 6 more hours (then $14.99) or get all 9 classes for $74:

Hope you have a lovely long weekend and holiday. Now buy your TRUE SCRAP CLASSES and get to bed! You have to get up early tomorrow ;)

November 2014 Free Scrapinar by Lain @ LayoutAday.com

Lain’s free scrapinar for November sounds awesome!

I’m really looking forward to this one! If you’re interested as well, you can click HERE for more details. Even if you can’t make it live on 11-03-14, sign up now and she’ll send you a free replay after the event.

Free Scrapbooking Kindle Book! {Pssst! You Don’t Need a Kindle to Read It . . . }

Heya! I just got this e-mail from Lain Ehman who does True Scrap (and makes 6-figures in the scrapbooking industry on her own, by the way . . . so she’s an idol of mine).

Anyhoo, I wanted to share it ‘cuz I know you love reading about scrappy things as much as I do. She and the instructors from True Scrap 6 have a fun little KINDLE BOOK available! {What’s True Scrap 6? Read my blog entry here}.

Something cool to tell you about! The True Scrap 6 instructors and
I have just released an e-book on Amazon that shares some of our
best tips for motivation and inspiration in your scrapbooking. It’s
called “Profiles in Scrapbooking,” and it’s available as a Kindle
download for F-R-E-E for a limited time!

Regularly $2.99, this short volume includes profiles from each of
the True Scrap 6 instructors, where we talk about our tips for
breaking through those stagnant times, new discoveries about our
own crafting, and more!

Pretty darn cool, huh?

Just click on the book title to download it for FREE! “Profiles in Scrapbooking: Inspiration, Wisdom, and Advice for Your Memory-Keeping Journey”

If you don’t have a Kindle or other e-reader, don’t despair. You don’t actually need one to download and read Kindle books. I *know*, right?!? You just need a computer, smartphone, or tablet and use the Kindle app. You can download that and find all the info RIGHT HERE on Amazon.

Just a note: At the end of the book, there’s a coupon code to save $20 off True Scrap 6 which is held in mid-October. But if you click the link above to my blog entry about TS6, there’s a coupon code there for the same amount (if you don’t want to read my scintillating post, here ya’ go: use HERO by 10-10-14 to save $20).

I just downloaded my copy. Guess I know what I’m doing at lunchtime today! Happy Scrappy Reading :)

Online Scrapbook Classes: It’s Time to Sign Up for “True Scrap 6”

TRUE SCRAP 6 opens for general registration today: 09-09-14!

I’ve attended several True Scrap events in the past and swear by them, fo’ sho’. If you want to read some of my reviews, you can see past blog entries HERE, HERE, HERE, and HERE. My favorite online scrapbook class EVER was from True Scrap 3 – read that review HERE.

There are 2 changes this time I wanted to tell you about – as requested by past attendees: A shorter event and a smaller price!

This year’s event has been reduced to 1 day instead of 2 (all day Saturday 10-18-14) with a virtual PJ party the night before where you just hang out online and chat with other attendees from around the world. It’s a smaller event (8 classes and 3 virtual make-and-takes), with a correspondingly smaller price point that many asked for.

On top of THAT, I have a discount code for you that’s good from 09-09 through 10-10-14: Type HERO in the box and save $20. Woot! I’m ALL about saving money where we can . . . ‘cuz that means we can spend the savings on scrapbook supplies, right?

Using the discount code takes the price from $99 down to $79 – or from $12 to under $10 per class. As I always say about Lain’s classes, that’s a real bargain compared to in-person classes at your LSS (do you even have one anymore? I don’t.) or other online classes.

If you’re waffling a bit about registering, please keep in mind that the webroom only holds 500 people. A bunch of seats have already been sold because they’re first offered to members of ScrapHappy (Lain’s membership site), and then she did Early Bird Sign-ups for those on her mailing list.

Oh jeez, I haven’t even said what True Scrap 6 *is* yet, have I?

Well, it’s an online scrapbook event put on by Lain Ehmann – she’s done 8 or 10 of these now and has it down to a science. TS6 ncludes the following classes:

Tracy Banks: Layering: Punch It, Roll It, Make It Yours
Kelli Crowe – Saw This, Made That: Bringing Ideas to Life
Jennifer Gallacher – Mood-Based Scrapbooking: An Inspirational Guide
Noell Hyman – Small Details, Big Picture
Katrina Kennedy: Capture Your Celebrations – Photographing Food, Family, And Fun
Layle Koncar – Flip It, Score It, Make It, Shake It!: Innovative, Interactive Mini Book Techniques
Nichol Magouirk – From Pocket to Page: Pocket Cards for 12×12 Layouts
Donna Salazar – Mixed Media Masterpieces Using Crafty Supplies

For more detail on the classes, you can click HERE and scroll down.

As always, each class sounds so interesting. I’m especially looking forward to those by Noell Hyman (going through a month of photos and deciding which to do layouts with and which to use Project Life, essentially) and Katrina Kennedy (photographing celebrations and other things I find challenging due to low-light, etc. – and I have a new camera!). Nichol Magouirk’s sounds good, too – Lordy knows I have a gatrillion PROJECT LIFE CARDS to use! {It’s been over a year since that entry and it’s gotten well and truly worse, ack!}

While their topics don’t super-intrigue me, I may take Kelly Crowe and Layle Koncar’s classes just because they’re both such a hoot! If you guys attended True Scrap Pocket Pages, you remember how fun Layle was from Simple Stories (and she gave away a Simple Stories prize, which I’m hoping she does again!). What I have found from taking entire True Scrap events is that classes that don’t interest me at all ‘on paper’ end up being some of my favorites. “True Scrap is like a box of chocolates. You just never know what you’re going to get.” Hee.

I’m still deciding if I’ll sign up or not. I didn’t get on the Early Bird mailing list in time, therefore no 30% discount on the price. And I’m not a ScrapHappy member anymore either so I don’t get that discount. I’ve really had to cut my scrappy spending lately :(

A month or so after Lain’s events, she usually puts the classes for sale “a la carte” so I may just wait for that and buy the specific classes I want. But if they end up being $10-12 each x the number of classes I want, it might add up to $79-ish anyway . . . bah! If I DO end up doing the entire TS6 event, I’ll make sure to post some reviews of the classes to help you decide which ones you may want to buy. We shall see . . .

Are you going to attend “True Scrap 6” or perhaps buy some a la carte classes later? If you do sign up now, don’t forget to use the code HERO to save $20. You can register (or just check out all the info) RIGHT HERE.

Have a great rest of your week . . . :)

Lain’s Scrapinar for May: It’s a “Feeding Frenzy”

I know I said the next post would be about my scrapbook haul from Mike’s. But just a quick one before I forget . . .

Wanted to let you know that May’s scrapinar (a no-cost event) is coming up later this month. On May 28th she’ll be joined by “Scrapper on the Street”, Danielle Taylor for “Feeding Frenzy: Taking Eye-Catching Food Photos to Scrap and Share”.

Kind of an interesting topic, eh?

I’m not a real foodie per se but since starting Project Life, I have been taking a lot more food photos than in the past. I don’t use any special techniques though. Guess I have a thing or three to learn.

See you at Lain’s May scrapinar! CLICK HERE for more details and to sign up :)

Online Scrapbook Classes: New Discount Code for “True Stamp 2014” Until 03-31-14

When I posted about HERE about “TRUE STAMP 2014” earlier today, there was no discount code in effect. However, one has just been added!

*** Code NOW20 is good for $20 off the regular registration rate through the end of this month (03-31-14) *** There are over 400 people signed up and Lain would like to get to 500!

Um, yeah, I’m thinkin’ those are gonna’ be some pretty nice prizes ;)

Even without the discount, it’s a reasonable price. But with the discount, it’s hard to pass up.

Happy Stampin’!!

Online Scrapbook Classes: Another Scrapbooker is Coming to “CreativeLive” . . . Woot!

I have a confession: I’m addicted to the free online courses at “CreativeLive.com.” There, I said it. As a business owner + creative type, it’s like they made the place just for me.

The addiction began when I found the PROJECT LIFE course by one of my fave scrappers, BECKY HIGGINS. {I blogged about it HERE, HERE, and HERE}.

Since then, I’ve ‘taken’ about 5 other courses and frequently check their upcoming schedule to see what looks interesting. I’d heard from LAIN EHMANN, another of my fave scrapbookers, that she was in talks with CreativeLive . . . and I’ve been waiting patiently to see if she posted more about that. She hasn’t, unless I missed it.

But what should I see today on CreativeLive but THIS!!

Scrapbooking is a powerful way to preserve memories, but the process can often feel like a time-consuming chore, rather than a chance to tell your unique story. If you’re unsure where to start or held back by your inner perfectionist, this two-day course will teach you everything you need to know about creating scrapbooks that fully, creatively document your authentic life.

Scrapbooking expert Lain Ehmann will help you understand how to focus on storytelling rather than perfection when you scrapbook. Lain will cover ways to discover your own motivations for memory-keeping and match those motivations with the scrapbooking process that works for you. You’ll learn about creating beautiful, meaningful layouts that you and your family will cherish. Lain will also cover alternative methods of scrapbooking — from working with pre-made kits to preserving memories digitally and much more. By the end of this class, you’ll love your layouts – and your memories – more.

If you’re not familiar with Lain Ehmann yet, she does lots of cool online scrapbooking events, chats, and classes.

The next thing coming up is TRUE STAMP 2014. I’m not a stamper so I haven’t signed up for it but I’ve done MANY of her other classes and events like TRUE SCRAP 4, TRUE SCRAP 5, TRUE SCRAP POCKET PAGES, and 2 or 3 of her LOAD events (that stands for Layout A Day; it’s like a monthly challenge to get you scrappin’ with support of a big group). I’ve blogged about LOAD a bunch HERE because I love them so :)

Anyhow, just wanted to let you know that Lain is coming to CreativeLive and you should RSVP now so you can watch it and participate in the chat for FREE! Once they do their original events, they’re replayed a few times – then you have to pay to access them. Hope to see you there!

And I wanted to say a huge CONGRATULATIONS to both Becky and Lain. In addition to being simple scrappers, gorgeous, and SO nice, they’re both businesswomen I look up to. Getting booked on CreativeLive is a wonderful step for their businesses. I admire the guts it takes to stand up there and talk about our hobby for 2-3 full days. It’s just awesome!

PS: Are you brave, too? Why don’t you try and get into Lain’s live studio audience? Oh, how I wish I could (dang work!). HERE is where you sign up. PLEASE let me know if you get in!

Although I usually attend Lain’s monthly webinars when they’re free, some of these I’ve missed so even I’m tempted at this crazy-good price. I really enjoyed Monica Bradford’s washi class and Lain’s about scrapbooking with office supplies, if you’re looking for recommendations.

You have forever-access to the 28 video prompts, all the materials, Flickr gallery, and message board. So if February is a busy month for you, don’t sweat it. You don’t have to stick to the prompts – just do you own thang, chickie! And, yes, Project Life layouts, 8×8 layouts, any layout counts. Lain says, “I’m easy. If you think it’s a layout, I think it’s a layout.” If you get all 28 projects done and posted in February, you’re eligible for a very cool prize!

From participating in past LOADs, I can tell you this: They’re something special. In those 28 days, you bond with the group of ladies who are on the journey with you. You get to know each other through your layouts and the message board. Do you love getting comments on your layouts? You’ll get them with LOAD. Everyone is treated the same; there are no “stars” getting all the attention. Do you ever see layouts online and think, “They’re so detailed and mine aren’t” or “It’s pretty but SO not my style.” With LOAD, it’s just everyday scrappers like you posting their layouts and you WILL see many who scrapbook like you do.

That was one of my favorite things because my scrapbooking is very simple compared to those on Design Teams and even those who post to the Two Peas gallery. At LOAD, I felt normal. Well, as normal as I can be for a whacked out, crazy, scrapbooking obsessed, sarcastic, rabble-rousing enabler!

You know I love you, right? Just to prove how much, I’m going to share with you a most excellent discount code. If you CLICK HERE or the link above to sign up for LOAD214, the code “28DAYS” will give you almost 40% off the cost of LOAD. So instead of $50, it’s ONLY $31. For you buck-saving fans, that’s $1.10 per day {even at the full price of $50, it’s only $1.78 per day}. I defy you to say that’s not worth the money. Defy you, I say!!

Yes, you could just challenge yourself to complete 28 layouts in February for no cost. But, c’mon, if you’re like me, it wouldn’t get done. You’d be sharing layouts with – yourself. You’d be chatting each day with – yourself. You’d have to inspire – yourself. You’d post your layouts in a gallery where you could see layouts by – you. You’d have to give prizes to – yourself. And – hey now! – then it’s not so free after all, is it?

Now ask yourself, “Self, do I want to join in with a bunch of other scrap-crazies and do LOAD214?” I’m sure your self would say, “Well, DUH! Of course, I . . . you . . . do.”

So get to steppin’, sis!

PS: Whether or not you want to be part of LOAD, you should definitely check out all of Lain’s FREE monthly scrapinars. Information on February’s scrapinar with a very popular teacher is right here. Hope to see you there!

Online Scrapbook Classes: Grab Some “True Scrap 5” a la Carte Classes Before the Price Goes Up!

One last reminder that “True Scrap 5” is for sale now as separate classes. You can find all the details in a blog entry HERE or go straight to the TS5 website HERE where you can see all of the class descriptions.

If you get them by Christmas 12-25-13, they are only $9.99. After that, the price increases to $12.95.

I didn’t get around to posting reviews this time but my 2 favorite classes were:

“Pick a Card, Any Card” by Layle Koncar

She showed lots of ways – other than just pocket page scrapbooking – to use all those 3×4 and 4×6 cards we’ve collected. Layle works for “Simple Stories” so she knows what she’s talkin’ ’bout. Plus, she’s fun and funny. I really enjoyed her class, the first I’ve taken from her.

“Design Your Story with Bits and Pieces” by Noell Hyman

She showed a great technique for using all those little bits and pieces we collect and making them look great on your layouts. I will definitely be using this technique again and again.

If you love Layle’s class or just pocket page scrapbooking in general {it’s about 90% of the scrapping I do these days}, make sure to check out “True Scrap Pocket Pages” coming 01-25-14! Save $50 if you sign up by 12-31-13. I will SO be there ;)

Merry Christmas Eve, my scrappy friends!

Online Scrapbook Class: “True Scrap Pocket Pages” BLACK FRIDAY SPECIAL $100 off!

Yeppers, it’s time to sign up for True Scrap Pocket Pages!

Here’s the thing I’ve noticed about True Scrap events. I tell you about the early bird specials and you say to yourself, “Yeah, that sounds fun. I’m busy though. I’ll sign up later when it gets closer.” But then the special prices go away – like Black Friday, the BEST price you’re going to get on “True Scrap Pocket Page”, I promise.

Before you know it, it’s late December, then January, and you keep hearing people talk about this cool TS event. When you have time, you go to sign up and guess what? The specials and early birds are over and True Scrap is now “too expensive.” And you kick yourself for not signing up when the price was affordable. Like RIGHT NOW TODAY.

Only $47 after the $100 Black Friday discount. At $47 divided by 6 classes = $7+ per class. That, my friend, is a bargain. So please don’t wait and then kick yourself later, mmm kay? I mean, who wants the bruises? Not me, sista’! I just signed up myself and I expect to see you there in class :)

Just click this link to sign up.

Here is a message from True Scrap organizer Lain Ehmann:

We know you’re being inundated with specials today, but we just HAD to throw one into the mix. As you may have heard, our next big event is True Scrap Pocket Pages in January. And this weekend, you actually get your choice:

…Over $100 off OR
…a savings of 68%

Actually, it’s a trick question because right now you don’t HAVE to choose… you can save $100 on True Scrap Pocket Pages, which just happens to be 68% off. We’re tricky like that. :)

That’s right: For the next few days you can get the LOWEST price available for a day of fun on January 25, 2014. We’ll bring you teachers like Layle Koncar, Traci Reed, Marcy Penner, and MORE in our first-ever True Scrap Pocket Pages event. And it’s all live, all recorded, all from YOUR computer.

*See the whole scoop here*

And sign up now through midnight on Monday, Dec. 2, 2013 to save BIG.

You’ll get…
-SIX video classes
-A round-table live Q&A discussion with some rockin’ PL/pocket page designers
-Recordings of EVERYTHING
-And a few other bonuses!

No coupon. No stress. No fuss. Just pure, unadulterated SAVINGS.

This price is the absolute LOWEST price for TSPP including for ScrapHappy family members, True Scrap Alums, and my favorite sister. This is it, my friends!

The savings are good through Monday, Dec. 2, but if you sign up before midnight tonight (on Black Friday, 11/29), we have an extra-special bonus for you. You’ll get “Phoning It In: Using Cell Phone Photos Effectively,” a one-hour video class from Tami Morrison, absolutely FREE! It’s chock-full of fab tips for pocket and traditional scrapbooking and it’s yours for NADA, but only if you sign up for TSPP by midnight TONIGHT.

You’re going to love True Scrap Pocket Pages – we guarantee it!

Now go get that $20 flat screen TV from Wal-Mart you’ve been camping out for. :)

Lain the Red-Nosed Reindeer

PS The $100 savings is good through 12/2, but the special free class is good ONLY today! Don’t delay!

So how do you like that?!? Not only $7 per class but a relevant, free class thrown in, too! It’s a great deal, fer shizzle. Hope to see you in class!

PS: If you are decidedly NOT going to attend this True Scrap event, I’d love to hear why. Are pocket pages just not your thang? Too much for the budget? And I’d love to hear if you DO sign up, too! Just leave a comment below :)

Online Scrapbook Classes: “True Scrap 5” Individual Classes Available Date Announced!

I’ve been asked many times when the TRUE SCRAP 5 online scrapbooking classes will be available “a la carte.” In other words, when will they be available to purchase just the individual classes you want instead of the entire event?

WELLLLLL….

I was attending Lain’s online scrapinar this evening and she told us the date: Monday, 12-09-13!

If you’re reading this, going “what in the Sam Hill is she talking about?!” … I blogged about it HERE. Or you can click on THIS LINK to the True Scrap 5 site. Or, heck, do both. I mean, you want to be fully informed and educated on True Scrap 5 before you plunk down your money, right? Right.

See? And you thought you hated Mondays. Pshaw!
