Over the years, I’ve attended the Scrapbook Expo (which then became the Scrapbook and Stamp Expo) in 3 different cities in California. In fact, I was planning to attend one this year but other plans came up, boo hoo!
My Favorite Part: New Products
My favorite part of scrapbook expo events is getting to see new products. Poor me, I haven’t had a local scrapbook store within hours of me for years, so expos are one of the only times I can see recent products in person.
What Happens at a Scrapbook and Stamp Expo
What happens at the expo stays at the expo … Nah, just kidding :) It’s all innocent fun … #asfarasyouknow
For me, the expos are always a lot of fun. I mean, you’re surrounded for 2 days by other scrapbook enthusiasts, stampers, card makers, and vendors. What more could you want??
There are usually Make-n-Takes on the show floor (assembling page kits or demonstrating new techniques, for instance) and a nighttime crop or two.
Who Attends Scrapbook Expos
You’ll find paper crafters of all types and experience levels. So if you’re a “scrapbooking rookie,” don’t feel like you can’t attend an expo. They’re for everyone, not just “expert” scrappers.
Some people make a weekend of it and get a hotel for the weekend so they can really go for it.

Make sure to see if your local scrapbook store has scrapbook expo coupons before you sign up.
Then once you sign up, make sure to join the Facebook group for the expo in your location.

Speaking of their website, it’s a great one! They sell merch, have a papercrafting blog, have exhibit information, and answer your FAQs … like:
- Can I just come and shop?
- Can I bring my kids and/or stroller?
- Will there be food available to purchase?
- Are there workshops and how do I sign up?
- What vendors will be there?
I hope you’re able to attend a Scrapbook and Stamp Expo if you’ve never been. They’re a lot of fun, a great way to see a ton of scrapbooking products in one place, get some deals (sometimes), and hang out with like-minded crafters to swap ideas.
