As you animal lovers know, having a dog is sometimes pretty close to having a child. Well, I lost my beloved dog, Dallas, this morning. He was killed by 2 dogs that live next door, aggressive ones that we’ve complained about to Animal Control since the family moved in last summer. I’m beyond devastated. We called Dallie “our firstborn” because he was our spoiled rotten baby before we had kids. He was just a love, sweet and smart and fun. Well, I’ll be signing off for a bit, don’t know when I’ll feel like writing again. Here’s a layout I posted before…about Dallas. Please say a prayer for my baby.

That is horrible. I am so sorry!!
Oh no, Erika! I’m so sorry to hear about Dallas. That is horrible. They are just like human kids to me too.
I am SO sorry for your loss and your families loss. BIG HUGS! and I hope that you and yours are able to find peace during this difficult time. Loosing a furry kid is not easy.
Oh, I am so sorry for the loss of your furbaby! How heartibreaking. My thoughts and prayers are with you. :O)
OH, i am so sorry for your little one! How horrible. I’m crying and praying for you! {{hugs!}} :*(
I am so sorry you lost your baby. I hope those two other dogs are put down by the end of the day.
I’m so sorry for your loss. I hope now somrthing will be done about those horrible dogs. My prayers and thoughts are with you.
I am so sorry! That is terrible. We lost our dog on easter so I know how much it must hurt. you are in my prayers.
erika – this is such heart-breaking news! i am sooooo sorry for your loss and will indeed pray for dallas . . . and for you. huge huge {{{{hugs}}}}
Oh Erika. I am so sorry to hear about Dallie. I know it is losing a valuable member of your family so i know you are in a lot of pain. I hope the edge of it will ease soon.
I’m so sorry to hear this. I also call my dog (an 11-year-old Lab named Jake) my first-born, because he was here long before kids! Can’t imagine losing him. My heart goes out to you!!
I am so sorry for your loss. Reading your post brought tears to my eyes. We have 2 fur babies and I know exactly what you mean about them being like your children. I wish you comfort and peace.
Oh my! That is so sad. We lost our dog a few years ago too.He was 14 and was our firstborn too. It’s amazing how many people call their pet their firstborn!
Thinking about you and your family.Hope something gets done about the dogs that did this.
I found your blog through google reader, btw.
{{{hugs}}}} Pets are such a big part of a family. I’m so sorry.
Aw, I’m really really sorry. I googled scrapbooking and came up with your blog and read this latest post. I lost my toy poodle a few years ago this very same way and it’s totally devastating. My thoughts and prayers are with you. You gave Dallie an awesome life here and that’s about as much as any pup can ask for.
My heart broke when I read this. I’m so very sorry. It’s hard enough to lose a beloved pet but losing one this way…..*Hug*.
I read your sad news on your blog on the day of your post and I remember feeling so sad for you and your family. I thought I would never understand how I would react when I lost my “first-born” furry child. But tragically, on the 4th of July, our baby was hit by a car and we lost him. Ironically, I feel even more sorry for you and your family knowing now how you feel. *Hugs to you* Remember, the sun keeps shining. Feel free to read our story on my blog. I’ll say a prayer for you and your family!
